Still nothing

I really don't have anything to share. I have been busy with the yard. Dad is visiting and it is busy.
The rodeo is on this weekend here and Hayze is in the wild pony race all weekend and Jim is Steer wrestling on Sunday.
I dropped my camera the other day and it is not working so, I will have to break out my little one and catch some action. I could cry about my camera.
I will update when I have rodeo hilites.
The scavenger hunt ends today that we have been doing. It has been a lot of fun.
We will see how we make out.

Things I NEED to share

Well tonight I have a couple things I need to update and share with you.

1. I have been meaning to share this with you for a couple of months now. You know when someone shows you somethings so simple that works, you really just want to say "I know" but you can't because you are thinking in the back of your mind, "why didn't I think of that" Well this is one of those times. I was filling up my bug "juice" as I call it, when my husband so graciously steps in to help... actually just to tell me I am doing it wrong... and explains to me that if you pour the fluid out of the jug on it's side it pours out smooth and you don't get any of that glug, glug, splatter. You know what ... He was RIGHT. it works amazing. Try it next time. you will love me for this tip.

Pouring like this makes sense!

The kids and I are doing a photo scavenger hunt put on by this
website. It has been so fun. I may share some of our photos as we a getting close to the wire.
We have until July 31 to complete it.

The kids and I made these Jello Jigglers the other night.
We needed red and blue Jello for our scavenger hunt and I seen the recipe on "My Crazy Life" blog so I thought how perfect. We cut them in to Maple Leafs and we have the perfect patriotic snack for a warm summers day.

What is a Campfire Pie?
Well let me tell you, it is the most scrumptious thing on the camping trail.
You need this iron that you see in the photo. You can pick them up at home hardware, Canadian Tire or any where else you buy your camping supplies.
The the rest is simple. Butter two pieces of bread, butter side out as you would a grill cheese and fill the inside with pie filling, jam and peanut butter, or anything else you can think of.
We also did, Campfire pizza's. They were amazing. You just pile in all the pizza fixings, cheese, sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms....... and then you place the iron right in the fire or on the hot coals and let it cook. Such a fun and tasty treat.

I bought a new bike, a vintage style bike in a nice blue, with a removable basket.
I am so excited to share a photo of it with you but I don't have the right outfit to wear.
no not really, but it is adorable.
just a the picture.

Camping

CYPRESS HILLS, SASKATCHEWAN

We spent from Sunday to Friday visiting Saskatchewan and this is what the majority of it looked like.
This picture shows the stream heading straight for our trailer.
Our Friend Jayse
Destiny Getting her hair done By Stacey
the final project looked amazing, and out of her face for swimming
Some swimming time, it was chilly but great change from battling the rain.

Our great cooking,  that is one thing when we camp, we always eat good.
That is corn on the cob in the tin foil,
A large bug that we had to battle a few times around the camp fire,
with out exaggerating that bug is about 2.5 cm long
Destiny's awesome fire
Destiny's first fire she ever lit.  She did so good.
The boys fort.  They added the roof and a deck, to an already existing structure.
They had so much fun with it.

The Wilson's
The Biletsky's
Stacey, Me, Julia
Wild roses everywhere there
Oh,  a ray of sun..  I better capture it.
Hayze's photography.  He wanted it like a magazine cover,  off centered.
I think he achieved it don't you.?
Campings' famous foods.
Jiffy pop!  even though it never works,  got to do one every summer
this one actually was pretty good.
Waiting for..........
can't hide my excitement for.......

a banana boat..  yummmoooo..!

And Camp fire pies..
Over all a good trip,  good company and some good stories.

I have a new love(s)

Well remember the new cupcake recipe I tried a couple posts back,  that was a recipe I got off a recipe  card that I got from Target when I was visiting Phoenix.  When I was unpacking  and found the recipe card, it was from Martha's new book so  I had to make it.  Of course I loved them, ( even if Cheryl found them "dry".) The icing was truly sinful and I can't wait to make some more cupcakes form my new book that I bought today at Costco.

Martha's New Book
New love #1

New love #2
It is so simple and lovely.

This is the phone I had before Tuesday,
The Blackberry Storm.
It is awful,  don't waste your money or your time.
It wouldn't sinc with my mac, it was hard to type and the screen jump from up to sideways regularly.

But I do love my new Curve in Red

Happy Canada Day

Another day to celebrate this great nation we live in.

We celebrated by going to Jim's rodeo in Airdrie.
I wish I had some pictures of Jim steer wrestling with you, however, I don't think he would like me to share today's photography with you.  Now I am not saying the actual pictures are bad, I am saying that the steer wrestling didn't go as planned.
I did capture a bucking horse, now they are suppose to be wild and wooly so I figured I could share that with you.

Have a great rest of the week.
